Prof. Arnab Bhattacharya (IIT Kanpur) visited the group and delivered a guest lecture on Grammar Error Correction for Indian Languages.

The talk covered rule-based approaches to classifying and injecting grammar errors in Indian languages, synthetic dataset creation via noise injection, and instruction tuning of LLMs for GED/GEC tasks — achieving human-level accuracy for error detection and classification.
